CDP and DR

Computer One specialise in Continuous Data Protection (CDP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) system design. We customise the design of every system to protect the critical data and services, and ensure the Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and Recovery Time Objective (RTO) are tailored to the needs of each data centre.

The RPO and RTO are business decisions made the relevant stake holders within your organisation based around loss of productivity, associated cost, relevant to the impact of an outage of each critical systems. For some organisations, Email and Messaging are critical and an outage of more than 15 minutes is a problem. For others, a melt down.

File Servers hosting CAD files are critical. Each organisation as a collective group then place a weighting and cost on the importance of each service.

Our specialist engineers review your systems, and assess the likelihood of a failure event (such as hardware failure, fire, communication link failure) to create a design to meet the RTO and RPO objectives.

Design is one thing, but at Computer One we feel if you can continually test your Disaster Recovery preparedness, or view the CDP snapshots, you may we be gambling on your business when disaster strikes.

All of our CDP and DR designs include test procedures and documented restore times.
